Celtic Quilts: Corn & Beans
If you look closely, you might be able to recognize the traditional quilt pattern peeking out through this Celtic lattice. I can’t begin to guess why the quilt block was called Corn and Beans, but as I worked the palette of greens on the yummy yellow fabric, the name stuck. Was I still hungry when I added Carrie’s Peach and Blueberry threads? Remember, it’s important to get plenty of fruits and vegetables!
93 x 93 stitch count.
The model was stitched on 32 count Celtic Gold linen by Lakeside Linens & Designs, Inc. using Carrie’s hand-dyed Threads. Since these threads are lo longer being made, a conversion to Weeks Dye Works threads is provided below and in all new copies of the chart along with a list of DMC suggestions.
