Love Letters - Celtic - PDF
This is the first in a series of small samplers that feature a heart motif and an alphabet in a particular art style.
The letters are an uncial hand, which dates back centuries in old Celtic texts.
A heart entwined with a trinity knot completes the design.

About Love Letters:
This is a series of embroidery designs that I’ve created to showcase a particular art style. Fraktur is the third, following Celtic and Art Nouveau. Each chart includes an alphabet (the “letters” part) that typifies that art style. Calligraphy is a wonderful thing, with so many variations and individual flourishes that it is always hard to settle on a single form for each letter. The alphabet is paired then with a motif that includes some heart form (the “love” part.)
