About Love Letters
This is a series of embroidery designs that I’ve created to showcase a particular art style. Art Nouveau is the second, along with Celtic and Fraktur. Each chart includes an alphabet (the “letters” part) that typifies that art style. Calligraphy is a wonderful thing, with so many variations and individual flourishes that it is always hard to settle on a single form for each letter. The alphabet is paired then with a motif that includes some heart form (the “love” part.)
